So blessed. He gifted her this talent, and she uses that very gift to serve Him. 🙏💛

It brings back my childhood memories… how she stitched my stage outfits, our school uniforms, even the delicate embroidery on sarees, every stitch always immaculate. 👗🧵
And now, with that same care and devotion, she dresses the Lord Himself. 🌼🙏

One morning in Vrindavan, Krishna asked Radha:
“Radhe, why does your singing touch my heart more than my flute touches yours?”
Radha smiled and replied:
“Because, Kanha… when you play the flute, the world hears you.
But when I sing, I am calling only you.”
Krishna closed His eyes, listening.
Just one soft note escaped Radha’s lips, pure, full of love.
And Krishna whispered,
“Radhe… this one note is sweeter than all the ragas in my flute.

A trip to Drakensberg some years ago… I found the photo in my collection. Recalling my thoughts at that time, standing on this rock, I felt an indescribable stillness. Surrounded by the vastness of nature, I realized how small we are in front of creation, yet how deeply connected we are to it.
The mountains whispered strength, the breeze carried freedom, and the silence reminded me that music is not only in sound but it is in every heartbeat of nature.

Mirabai with Shri Krishna, taken at Merta, her birthplace in Rajasthan.
Merta is where Mirabai spent her early life before her marriage into the royal family of Mewar, and she holds a special place in my heart.
Her simplicity in saffron attire reflects renunciation and complete surrender.
The ektara in her hands represents her music and poetry, her chosen path of devotion and Krishna behind her, playing the flute, shows the eternal bond of the devotee and the Lord, where the Lord is always present for one who calls with pure love.
This picture beautifully expresses how Mirabai lived, her body in the world but her soul forever united with Krishna.
